  Membership Meeting: Veterans Advisory Council, Seminole County – July 21st at 1pm you are welcome to come and interact with members and guests and have a free lunch.  Location of the meetings varies each month.  Location this month is the Casselberry Veterans Inc. located at 200 Concord Drive, Casselberry, Fl.  You will be able to discuss your organization between 1pm -2pm If you are a non-member of the Council.  Membership Meeting for members of the Council begins at 2:00 pm.   NOTE:  Join us at 10:00 AM for an informative pre-event seminar, How to Maximize Your Veteran Benefits, presented by DAV. You’ve earned benefits through military service or as a caregiver to a veteran. Our experts demystify how to unlock them.

  This is a very large Job Fair for our Military with 43 Registered Exhibitors!

Complimentary parking for Job Seekers is available directly in front of the convention center.  Parking validation tickets will be provided to Job Seekers. Please ask for a validation ticket at the RecruitMilitary registration desk.

  For the most part, you will share your RecruitMilitary profile via QR code that is accessible in your RecruitMilitary account. As mentioned above, make sure to complete your RecruitMilitary profile by filling in all possible fields and uploading your resume. If you do not have a resume, our system can help you build one to share with exhibitors at the event.

  Please note: many government agencies are required to collect paper resumes. We recommend bringing a couple of physical resumes, just in case!

  A RecruitMilitary Job Fair is an event where job seekers with military experience can meet with recruiters from local and national companies. These events are free for U.S veterans, military spouses, transitioning military, and members of the Guard and Reserve.

  Since 1992 (yes, I am aware that many of you were not born by that date!)  I have been a Life Member of DAV.  I know firsthand the goodness of the organization to our veterans.  If you are interested, the 2026 DAV National Convention is in Central Florida and will be held from August 1 to August 4, 2026, at Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando, Florida.

   

  The DAV National Convention is an annual event that brings together veterans, their families, and advocates from across the United States. The 2026 edition will take place over four days, offering a platform for networking, education, and empowerment. Attendees can participate in workshops, panel discussions, and presentations on issues affecting veterans, as well as hear from influential speakers and engage with exhibitors showcasing veteran-focused services and products.
